Don't miss King Solomon's Singers' next concert: July 29, 2014 at Rockefeller Memorial Chapel.

On July 29, 2014 at 7:30 PM in historic Rockefeller Memorial Chapel in Chicago, King Solomon’s Singers will present “Recordare: A Renaissance Portrait of Remembrance and Loss,” including works of Josquin Desprez, William Byrd, Thomas Tallis, Heinrich Isaac, Tomás Luis de Victoria, and others. We will also be performing selections from this concert and other works for the 11AM service Sunday, July 27 at the Chapel (as well as for services at the Shrine of Christ the King on Friday, July 25 at 7PM). King Solomon's Singers present The Many Faces of Heinrich Isaac

King Solomon's Singers' are excited to announce their next concert, devoted entirely to the music of the Franco-Flemish master, Heinrich Isaac. The concert will take place at 7:30PM on Sunday, September 15th, 2013 at the lovely and historic St. Josaphat Parish Church in Chicago. We will perform selections from the Missa Carminum and the Choralis Constantinus, but we will also sample Isaac's non-liturgical work, including his masterpiece for the coronation of Emperor Maximilian I, Virgo Prudentissima. Out of the Shadows CD released!

King Solomon's Singers second recording, Out of the Shadows: Sacred Music of Francisco Guererro and Thomas Crecquillon  is now available for purchase from CD Baby (link), the Seminary Co-op Bookstore (link), and via digital download on iTunes, Amazon, and other major sites. King Solomon's Singers next concert September 22nd

King Solomon's Singers' upcoming concert will take place at 8PM on Saturday, September 22nd inbeautiful St. Clement Church.The repertoire will be English Catholic polyphony,spanning nearly two full centuries, from the "Contenance Angloise" period of Dunstable and Plummer, through the Eton Choirbook, to the secret laments on the fate of the Catholic Church by Elizabethan masters Tallis and Byrd. Out of the Shadows CD due out soon!

The Solomons had a memorable, fun, and exhausting recording session at The Jim & Kay Mabie Performance Studio in the WBEZ/Chicago Public Media complex, and the production team of Todd Stura and Mary Gaffney will soon have a CD ready to go,so keep an eye out! Thanks to all the singers for the great effort, and special thanks to the donors who made it happen (you know who you are).

King Solomon's Singers release their debut CD!

The ensemble is pleased to announce the release of their first recording, Sacred and Profane Love: Polyphony and chant on Song of Songs texts. Available on CD from cdbaby.com and asdigital downloads from iTunes, the recording was made live at our debut concert at Bond Chapel, August 6, 2010.
